Oh Little Wonder

So, I'm sure you're wondering why the name change from 'Lavender and Salt' to 'Oh Little Wonder.' I'm here to answer that for you. Lavender and Salt was more about me, more about what I like, and how I feel; Oh Little Wonder relates more to all of us as a family in a few different ways, one being our adventure-seeking-free-spirited-ness (that's a word, right? ;). Me and Joshua (my husband) have always been the adventurous "try everything once" type, but after J was born our adventurous nature became heightened in a completely different way. We want to show our son all the beautiful wonders of the world, to introduce him to new and wonderful things, and to show him that he should never lose faith. Basically, we want him to follow his dreams. Another thing you may notice along with the new name is the hot air balloon, this is my way of keeping the memory of my sweet angels alive. Before we lost Catherine, we decided we wanted to decorate our baby girl's room with a hot air balloon theme. We came across the theme for her room when we were searching on Pinterest and found a picture of a hot air balloon with the quote "never lose your sense of wonder." We loved the idea from then on. The moment Joshua and I decided together on the theme was one of my favorite moments in the short time I spent carrying my baby girl. Since we never got the chance to decorate her room, I decided I would decorate my blog this way. I wasn't far enough along before my second miscarriage to find out what I was having, but I never think of one of my angel babies without thinking of the other. I love the idea of them playing together in heaven, just waiting on the day they finally get to see mommy, daddy, and big brother. <3
